Hello AWS members! Welcome to our first newsletter! My goal with these is to keep everyone connected and up to speed with site events. They may not be structured like a "newsletter", but I needed something to call it, haha. Feel free to reply with any comments or questions you may have.
Activity
Forum activity will be all over the place as we're getting started. Getting new members is still a big priority since site plots can't happen without a decent amount of characters.
Lately, I've been struggling with summer work and a busy schedule, so it's been hard to post consistently. But I promise you, I will never abandon this site. Warriors has always been a passion of mine, and I know that I won't be going away any time soon. Even if activity starts to lull, I promise I will always return to normal within a few days to a week.

These accounts in danger of deletion. After three newsletters have passed, they will be deleted. The site is confusing enough with all of these character accounts, so I would like to delete all inactive accounts to have an accurate member count.

I'd like to have a Gathering in the next week or two. BranchClan still needs a deputy, and MeadowClan, LightClan, and ScorchClan still need medicine cats. Here is a link to our current high positions: awarriorstory.proboards.com/thread/61/high-positions I would prefer that nobody creates a medicine cat apprentice since warrior apprentices are needed more. If you're going to make an apprentice, try to stick to normal apprentices for now.
Site Plot
I am starting to map out the site plot, so feel free to tell me your ideas.
Fighting Mechanics
I am making great progress with the fighting mechanics. I'm hoping to have them up in the next week or two, and I'll create a whole thread explaining how to use the system. It will consist of dice rolls and an attack list.
There will also be two types of fights. A "to the death" fight, where both cats are aiming to kill, or a normal fight where you're trying to get the other cat to flee.
I'm super excited to get this up and running!
Staff
Eventually, I'd like to get some staff for AWS, when it becomes too active for me to handle alone. I've already had several people offer their help, which I'm super thankful for. I will probably hold auditions at some point since I can't choose everybody.
OTMs
I thought I'd pick some August OTMs, even though there's not a lot to choose from.
Member OTM: Silvana - Silvana was the first member to join this site, and I can't describe how excited I was. She was willing to give me a chance, even though there were no other members and hardly any posts (this was back before the fancy theme, so the site didn't even look appealing). I am so thankful that she's here, and I'm thankful for her help with getting this site functioning properly!
Cat OTM: Wolfstripe - Wolfstripe was the first character on the site, not including my own. He's distrusting and kind of mean, but I love RP'ing with him and seeing what he'll find annoying. Thank you, Silv, for making Wolfstripe!
